The Water Sound Bluegrass and Roots Festival will take place at the Burray Hall, Burray Village, Orkney, Scotland from July 3rd to 5th, 2026, featuring live concerts, workshops and a jamming tent.

The event is a “weekend of bluegrass, country, Americana and roots music on Burray. With an outstanding lineup of artists from across Orkney, the UK and beyond, the festival promises three days of live music, a great atmosphere and a warm welcome.”

Accordion performers include:

Colin Nicholson and Friends – includes Colin Nicholson (accordion), Graham Rorie and Alice Tait on violin, John Lowrie (keyboard), Marcus Cordock (bass) and Will Scott (drums).

The Square Wheels – includes Jamie Gibbon (accordion/vocals), Tom Montgomery (fiddle), Gary Jones (guitar), Magnus Bruce (fiddle) and Ramsay Spence (fiddle).
