The XV Edition of the Strumenti&Musica Festival will take place in Spoleto, Umbria, Italy from November 10th to 17th, 2024. The event is organized by the Italian Accordion Culture Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Spoleto, the Region of Umbria, the Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto – Francesca, Valentina and Luigi Antonini, Spoleto Art Network, Acep, Unemia, Ars Spoletium, Tucep, Umbria Training Center and Scandalli Accordions.

The opening concert will be held at the Caio Melisso Theater on November 10th, at 6.00 pm, with a performance by accordionist Mirco Patarini accompanied by the Musici Lirienses string orchestra conducted by Alessandro Cedrone.

The concert, which can be attended free of charge (upon compulsory reservation), will include Gabriele Mirabassi (clarinet), who will join the performance of “Strambotti” in three movements by André Mehmari. Also on the program are compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Bete Ilin, Richard Galliano, Roberto Molinelli and Andrea Morricone.

During the festival, performances will be given by Daniele Di Bonaventura (bandoneón), Stefano Di Loreto and Fabrizio Causio as part of the project “Ars Spoletium Prima – Musica Nuova per accordion da concerto”, Ivano Battiston (concert performer/professor of accordion at the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory of Florence) and Duo Cokiba (which includes Coba on accordion and Hitoshi Oki on guitar – Japan).
