The Landesmusikrat Berlin (State Music Council) celebrates the Year of the Accordion with the exhibition series “600 Accordions. Your stories. Our Berlin.”

The exhibition will open on June 15th, 2026 at the Europa Center Atrium in Berlin, Germany and will run through to July 4th, 2026. Then it will tour five more shopping centers in Berlin until the end of November 2026, the Rathaus-Center Pankow, the Forum Steglitz, the Allee-Center Berlin in Lichtenberg, the East Side Mall in Friedrichshain and Das Schloss in Steglitz.

This is one of the world’s largest private accordion collections, collected over decades by Berlin music educator Dieter Plinke. Now the Landesmusikrat Berlin e.V. in cooperation with the Handelsverband Berlin-Brandenburg (HBB) is making it public. Concerts, workshops and offers for families accompany the exhibition.
