On June 13th, 2026 from 7.30pm, accordionist John Kirkpatrick MBE will join forces with classical musicians Richard Tunnicliffe (cello), Luba Tunnicliffe (viola), Ruth Angell (violin) and Henry Roberts (flute) to “present a programme of specially arranged folk music with a smattering of the classics thrown in. This is a revised repeat of last year’s event that was part of Clun Valley Music’s River themed concert series. You’ll hear songs about rivers, the sea, water generally, and for light relief some pieces with no watery connection whatsoever.”

The concert is part of The Bettws Triangle Arts and Music Festival held at the Bettws Parish Hall, Deepest Shropshire, England.

Bettws Triangle program

“The Bettws Triangle has become a yearly event. It is slowly developing and growing, welcoming in a broad range of musical talents, professional expertise and community singing groups and artists. It is managed and run by a growing group of volunteers and grounded in our supportive community.”
