AOTANGO Performs at Special Fundraising Farewell Concert & CD Release – New Zealand

The AOTANGO Quintet will perform at a special fundraising Farewell Concert for Andrew Beer (violin), before he begins his new role as Concertmaster of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. The concert will take place at the Symphonia Hall in Freemans Bay, Auckland on June 13th, 2026 from 5pm.
This celebratory evening brings together close friends and collaborators from across New Zealand in a programme of chamber music, tango, and audience favourites.
The concert will feature duo and trio performances with Sarah Watkins (piano), Ingrid Bauer (harp), James Yoo (cello), Morag Atchison (soprano) and Rosemary Song (piano).
Featured ensembles include the Auckland Philharmonia Principal String Quartet with Andrew Beer, Minglun Liu, Rob Ashworth, and Ashley Brown, alongside the AOTANGO Quintet featuring Gordon Hill, Kat Tomacruz, and accordionist Grayson Masefield.
CDs will also be available for purchase and presale on the night, including the Levansa Trio album ‘Kintsugi’, Dame Gillian Whitehead’s album featuring the concerto ‘Tai timu tai pari’, as well as forthcoming AOTANGO Duo and AOTANGO Quintet CD releases.
AOTANGO Quintet has just concluded their Chamber Music New Zealand In Partnership Series in twelve cities across the North and South Island from Wānaka to Kerikeri.
