9:00 hrs Category Premio Round I, Soloists with no age limits, Auditorium San Francesco (Via Giuseppe Mazzini, 13 – Castelfidardo, AN), Free choice program including a composition for harpsichord or organ by J.S. Bach with a maximum duration of 20 minutes. Programs should show as much as possible the variety of original accordion literature, drawing from the repertoires of the various national schools; at the same time they must include pieces of different character, age, aesthetics and style. A maximum of 8 competitors will be admitted to the second round.

9:30 hrs Category Senior Virtuoso Round II, Competitors admitted to the second round must present a different program from the first round and not exceeding 8 minutes. Salone degli stemmi (Piazza della Repubblica, 8 – Castelfidardo, AN)

14:30 hrs Category Student Virtuoso, Soloists up to 15 years (Born 2010 onwards), Scuola Civica Paolo Soprani (Via Ciriaco Mordini, 14 – Castelfidardo, AN), Free choice program with a maximum duration of 9 minutes (pieces from the varieté, jazz, blues, pop, South American repertoire, in published or unpublished arrangements are allowed).

15.30 hrs Category Junior Virtuoso, Soloists up to 18 years (Born from 2007 onwards)

An internationally inspired concert opens PIF 2025: on stage, world-renowned guitarist and composer Antonio Forcione, acclaimed for his explosive technique, boundless creativity, and unmistakable emotional depth.

Joining him is Natalino Marchetti, one of Italy’s most refined accordionists, known for his elegance, versatility, and ability to move across genres with expressive sensitivity. Together with a stellar quartet of top-level musicians, they bring to life a performance of rare intensity and nuance.

Expect a captivating journey through jazz, world music, and virtuosity — where feeling, rhythm, and freedom come together in a true celebration of sound. A not-to-be-missed opening night to launch the festival with energy and global vision.
