9:00 hrs Category D, Soloists with no age limits, Free choice program including at least one composition from the Baroque period. Maximum duration 25 minutes. Competitors cannot submit programs consisting entirely of transcripts. Auditorium San Francesco (Via Giuseppe Mazzini, 13 – Castelfidardo, AN).

9:30 hrs Category World Student, Soloists up to 15 years (Born 2010 onwards), Competitors who use an accordion, a diatonic accordion (of any model), a garmoshka, a bandoneon are allowed. Competitors must present a program of a maximum duration of 7 minutes including compositions or arrangements and creative elaborations of pieces taken from the world music, ethno jazz, ethnic, folk, traditional repertoire Sala Convegni (Via Mazzini n°7 – Castelfidardo, AN).

10:30 hrs Category World Junior, Soloists up to 18 years (Born from 2007 onwards), Competitors who use an accordion, a diatonic accordion (of any model), a garmoshka, a bandoneon are allowed. Competitors must present a program in the maximum duration of 9 minutes including compositions or arrangements and creative elaborations of pieces taken from the world music, ethno jazz, ethnic, folk, traditional repertoire. VOCI A MANO

A unique quartet of accordion, sax and two exceptional voices: Voci a Mano enchants with a repertoire ranging from tango to boleros, full of elegance and emotional depth. Two voices and two instruments come together for an intimate and elegant concert, where accordion, saxophone and the human voice intertwine in a rich and expressive musical dialogue.

The Voci a Mano project explores a wide range of musical landscapes, blending classical and popular traditions with tasteful and original arrangements.

From tango to French chanson, from Mexican boleros to traditional melodies, the quartet takes the audience on a journey filled with warmth, atmosphere, and refined musicality.

A unique ensemble that brings together the instrumental mastery of Cristiano Lui and Sandro Paoletti with the powerful voices of Placido Domingo Jr and Annalisa Biancofiore, in a performance filled with beauty, emotion, and exceptional music.

multifaceted artist – pianist, accordionist, composer, and conductor – Falasca has built a brilliant international career, moving with ease across musical genres while always maintaining a distinctive personal style.

He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Fabrizio Bosso, Il Volo, Tullio De Piscopo, and Beppe Vessicchio, and has also performed at the European Parliament.

At PIF 2025, he will perform in duo with pianist Arturo Valiante, a musician of great sensitivity and experience. Together, they present a concert rich in elegance and intensity, where the harmony between accordion and piano becomes a deep musical dialogue — blending original compositions, technical virtuosity, and emotional depth. Accordion, manouche jazz and gypsy rhythms – Jazz virtuosity and Romani roots in a powerful live performance: Emy Drăgoi brings the magic of manouche and gypsy jazz to Castelfidardo.

Emy Drăgoi, accordionist, singer and composer, is one of the most brilliant and acclaimed artists on the European music scene.

Nicknamed “the ambassador of manouche and gypsy jazz,” he has won over international audiences with his extraordinary talent and a distinctive style, rich in energy and emotional nuance.

In his performance, Drăgoi blends the deep roots of Romani music with the virtuosity of jazz, creating an electrifying concert where flawless technique meets heartfelt expression. It’s a vibrant musical journey filled with rhythm, passion and artistic freedom.

An intense evening of tango and emotion with Giacomo Medici, an internationally acclaimed baritone known in Argentina as “The Italian who sings tango.” With his distinctive voice and magnetic presence, Medici blends the elegance of operatic singing with the soul and drama of Argentine tango.

Performing with his Tango Ensemble, he presents a repertoire that journeys through traditional tango masterpieces and original interpretations—bridging classic roots and artistic innovation.

Medici has collaborated with Oscar-winning artists such as Woody Allen, Dante Ferretti, and Gabriella Pascucci, as well as tango greats like Ariel Ardit, Javier Girotto, Gianni Iorio, and Daniele Di Bonaventura.

His concert is a passionate musical journey through milongas, chamamé, and traditional South American rhythms, reimagined with authenticity, refinement, and expressive freedom. A powerful performance that celebrates his cultural roots through an instrument that becomes pure emotion.

A cultural rendezvous of great value at PIF50

Saturday 13 September at 11.00, in the Stemmi Hall, the meeting-conference took place:
“The musical art and how to play the Accordion of Castelfidardo. A catalogue project from the UNESCO perspective.

A moment that closes the first step of the UNESCO candidacy process, led by Patrizia Nardi in synergy with the municipal administration and the institutions of the Ministry of Culture.
Experts and institutions of national and international importance participated, including prof. Francisco Javier López Morales, among the top connoisseurs of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Protection of the Intangible Heritage.

It was the occasion to share the first results of the field research dedicated to the catalogue of the accordion tradition of Castelfidardo.
