Organized by Professor Geir Draugsvoll (picture left), The Royal Danish Academy of Music hosted the groundbreaking First Nordic Accordion Teachers Symposium from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The event aimed to inspire educators and students while providing a platform for exchange among young accordionists. The symposium, featured a diverse lineup of speakers delivering seven keynote addresses on accordion pedagogy showcasing innovative teaching methods and also included presentations exploring the state of accordion education in countries.

Three concerts were held featuring world premieres and performances by ensembles and soloists, including students from the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
