Castelfidardo, the city that is the symbol of the accordion, is transformed into the ideal stage for unveiling to the world an extraordinary novelty: the KORG FISA SUPREMA, a digital accordion that promises to revolutionise the musical landscape.

Passion, Craftsmanship and Cutting-edge Innovation

Right here, during the prestigious Coupe Mondiale d’Accordéon, KORG has chosen to present the world premiere of this innovative instrument, which could become the biggest innovation in the last twenty years in the sector.

Luigi Bruti, musician, technical expert and sound designer, has contributed significantly to the development of innovative musical instruments, including the first digital accordion, which earned him the prestigious Merit Award from the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) in 2014 for his extraordinary contribution to the international accordion movement.

In this adventure, Fati Fehmiju, musician, accordionist and technician of the KORG Japan sound team, played a key role, facilitating communication between the Italian and Japanese teams. Luigi and Fati, united by a common passion for the accordion, have created a fruitful collaboration that has exceeded all expectations.

Here is the team that from 2020 to 2024 has created KORG’s FISA SUPREMA (from left):

Accordions Worldwide asked Luigi Bruti to summarise the three key features of this new accordion, and here is what he told us:

Luigi Bruti: “There would be hundreds of things to say, but if I had to choose the three most important, I would say:
1) A bellow that perfectly reproduces the feel of an acoustic instrument, but in a more compact and lighter format.
2) The ‘EASY’ mode, which makes the instrument easy to use for those who do not like technicalities, and the ‘ADVANCED’ mode, which opens up a world of technological innovations for those who wish to explore them.
3) The sounds, which reach a level of veracity and quality never heard before.

This accordion is not just an instrument, but an invitation to discover new, unexplored musical territories. As an accordionist, I have fallen hopelessly in love with it.”

For those teachers and accordionists attending the Coupe Mondiale in Castelfidardo, they will have the opportunity to view the exciting new instrument being performed and also to attend events where they can have hands / try with the accordion.

The Korg Fisa SUPREMA will be officialy presented by artist Pietro Adragna in Castelfidardo at the Theatre Astra on the 6th of September 2024 at 9 pm at the beginning of the Opening Concert of the 77th Coupe Mondiale.

On Monday 9th of September 2024 the Korg Fisa Suprema will be officialy presented in Castelfidardo at the Palazzo Paolo Soprani Terrace from 5-7 pm.

On the 10th of September The accordion will be exposed for the public in the Castelfidardo Music Store / Palazzo Paolo Soprani
