Giorgio Dellarole and Mirco Patarini meet L’Astrée, the Turin Baroque Group directed by Giorgio Tabacco, for a Bach evening with solo violinist Francesco D’Orazio.
A project born from the encounter between the accordion and the early repertoire. For nearly twenty years, Giorgio Dellarole has been pursuing research into the creation of an instrument suited to music from the late Renaissance to Classical times, culminating in the use of the eighteenth-century Vallotti temperament, capable of enhancing the different tonal colors.
The recent collaboration with Scandalli and the long-term collaboration with Mirco Patarini, accordionist and owner of the company, have led to the creation of two “Vallotti” accordions, entrusted to the two soloists and designed to interact with L’Astrée, a Turin-based baroque group directed by Giorgio Tabacco. Together with Francesco D’Orazio, the project creates an original encounter between the accordion and the sounds of the early repertoire.
