Official Presentation of the Stamp Dedicated to Scandalli 5:30 PM – Salone Degli Stemmi.
To mark PIF2026, Castelfidardo is celebrating one of the iconic names in Italian accordion-making with the official launch of a stamp dedicated to Scandalli.

On 7 July 2026, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy selected eight companies to issue definitive stamps for the series “Excellence of the Production System and Made in Italy.” Scandalli Accordions was one of these companies. The presentation took place at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy in Roma.

The ceremony was presided over by the Minister, Senator Adolfo Urso, and the Undersecretary of State with responsibility for Philately, Fausta Bergamotto. Luca Sciascia, Head of Valuable Products at the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, and Giovanni Machetti, Head of Philately at Poste Italiane also attended that ceremony.

Speakers today included:
– Mirco Patarini, President of Scandalli Accordions; – – Rosalba Pigini, President of the Philatelic Society, Castelfidardo;
– Pietro Sbriscia, Poste Italiane, Philately Representative for the Marche region;
– Barbara Negroni, Poste Italiane, Head of the Central-Northern Macro-Area;
– Mayor of Castelfidardo, Roberto Ascani.

Todays ceremony was accompanied by a performance by accordionist Sara Calvanelli.

Mirco Patarini

Mirco Patarini, President of Scandalli Accordions spoke.
Part of his speech: “Authorities, distinguished guests, collaborators, and friends, welcome!

We at Scandalli are honoured and proud to receive this recognition, and we wanted to share this satisfaction with everyone. What better occasion than the International Accordion Prize for a postmark here in Castelfidardo?

Seeing our history, The Journey of a company to which we have dedicated so much work, imprinted on such a small yet immensely powerful object is something extraordinary. The stamp is not simply a piece of collectible paper: it is a vehicle of memory, a piece of history that travels from hand to hand and that, from today, will carry our message around the world.

A special thanks goes to the institutions that made this tribute possible and, above all, to all our artisans, collaborators, and musicians who, day after day, bring our company to life.

The team from Scandalli.
