The Italian Accordion Culture Association (IAC), as part of the 15th edition of the Strumenti&Musica Festival to be held in Spoleto in November 2025, is organizing the 7th International Competition for Composition “Città di Spoleto” Roberto Bruno Award.
This competition is an initiative by the IAC, aimed at the promotion of young musicians and the production of new literature for accordion.
The competition is for accordion solo and open to composers of any nationality without age limit. Maximum length 10 minutes and must be unpublished. The closing date for entries is September 1st, 2025. Download competition rules in English and Italian.

The Italian Accordion Culture Association has organised the first prize scholarship of 1.000,00 € (Roberto Bruno Award) with the financial support of ACEP, UNEMIA.
There are many new features introduced this year, starting with the number of jurors (five). Three chosen compositions will be premiered by well known virtuoso accordionist Samuele Telari in Spoleto, during one of the concerts attached to the event. Present will be the jury, M° Paolo Rotili (President), Ivano Battiston, Riccardo Panfili, Corrado Rojac and Giorgio Colombo Taccani.
Music publisher Ars Spoletium, will record Samuel Telari playing the three selected compositions which will be distributed to all media. This follows an initiative, that received acclaim for the 2024 competition when Lunar Microsuite by Davide Fensi and Summit by Gianluca Stocchi, were published by Ars Spoletium and available on the internet.
