The 2026 Shanghai International Accordion Festival will be held from March 30 to April 6, 2026 with Daily Reports by Accordions Worldwide to be published Friday 10th April 2026.

The first Shanghai Spring International Accordion Festival was held in 2006 and there has been a proud history of accordion festivals, concerts, masterclasses and examinations in the Shanghai region for the 20 year period from 2006 to 2026. The greater Shanghai area has one of the largest accordion teacher organizations in China which possibly has the most students, accordion groups and orchestras of any area of China.
At the forefront has been Prof. Li Cong and Prof. Crystal Wang during this exciting 20 year period of important musical developments. They have been honored internationally and within China for their huge service over more than 20 years, to this positive development of accordion in the greater Shanghai area as well as all of China and internationally.
